Diet,.. what diet?

Well heck, i fell off the diet wagon and landed on a candy bar :) I think Monday is a good time to climb back on but since its almost the weekend, why ruin a perfectly good Saturday?
Did i mention im an emotional eater? Not to excuse things, but this has been a wild couple of weeks. One of my dearest friends found out her breast cancer was back and had spread. At first i was sad...tears about every other hour, now im ANGRY. Not sure at who, ok maybe at God. i know it doesn't make sense but i could gladly suggest a few people that should have to go through this. I am though, mad and sad and frustrated. Like everything else, i have no choice but to accept it,but i don't have to like it.

Other friends are losing their homes and jobs in this sucky economy. Its scary as heck but for the first time i can honestly say im impressed with a politician. Just what President Obama has been able to accomplish so far is impressive and i really hope he follows through with all the things hes promised. .

One of the best things to happen lately is that my friend gave me some much needed advice. As our husbands and kids yelled and cheered their way through the Superbowl she took the time to listen to me whine about J again. She had some good advice.. mainly not to make her our focus, taking time away from the other kids. I assured her that she was wrong,i was concentrating on the other kids etc etc ,but in reality i spent much of my days worrying about things beyond my control and indulging in a pity party about my 'broken family'.

The advice helped me refocus on my life as it is now and im happy. I cant change the past,i cant fix anything for her,but i can make sure that our family moves on and continues to grow closer. I live in a ward full of women that have gone through trials way worse than mine and they have grown closer to the Lord and are happy, wonderful women. I may not have the perfect family anymore but i do have a much closer relationship with our other kids and a much better understanding of Gods love.

Ryan was laid off today. After 10 years with this company its over. I haven't even told the kids yet,not sure what to say
He actually has it better than most people.Hes already had an offer, with a couple more leads and he may just start his own company.Other people were laid off too.. many that had been there at least as long. No health insurance is scary. We have it through the end of march and hopefully he will be in another job by then.
Our ward is going to be split... having no family means that i really do view our ward members as my family. Change is hard and i hate to think of losing any of my wonderful neighbors to another ward. Sunday night we find out the details, man at this rate im gonna eat the entire kitchen lol.
It can only get better, right? :)

Keep your chin up! It is lucky that Ryan has other offers! Just know you are in our thoughts! (And between you and me, who cares if the candy bar got smashed, lick it off the paper!)
