What a fun day it ended up being.Tons of friends, lots of food, and a chance to help feed the many many people who have even less than we have.We have taken our kids to homeless shelters, food pantry's etc etc since they were little.
This yr Michaela was sad to realize that its not just homeless people that need help at Thanksgiving.I talked to her ahead of time to remind her that she may see someone from school or dance etc.She looked confused and was sure those friends wouldn't be there. It made her sad to realize that there are lots of people in this economy that dont have enough money to do thanksgiving. We talked about how she would act if one of her friends were there and she was so cute and assured me that she wouldn't want to embarrass them and would just asked like she was seeing them in a restaurant etc---what a sweetie. It made her very sad to think of her friends not having enough to eat.
This last week has been crazy busy with dance programs and trips to jubilee of trees and all sorts of fun things.Life doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon. Steve, josh and i all got a head cold and since i didnt want it to get worse i forced myself to relax the last couple of days-not easy for me,but im feeling better.
The boys all want to go to black Friday (insanity!) Lavonna,Michaela and i are going at a decent hour and then going for pedicures--i love girls days out.
